The Black Belt Academy focuses on the complete personal development of each student, not the teaching of self-defense. Individual attention is a feature of each and every class, allowing all students to progress quickly and confidently toward their personal goals. The instructors take their responsibility seriously as role models for younger students, teaching them the importance of strong character, leadership and good values.
The teaching curriculum for the Black Belt Academy is based on two concepts: “positive mental attitude” and “high goal setting.” We feel so positive about this program that we promise to give you and your family the most professional, well supervised and the highest quality classes available in any sport or art.
Our 3 yr old Raphaella making her self-defense debut.
As community members and parents of children in the TCDSB, we are well versed in the theory behind proper eating and exercising to increase potential in all people.
Canadian Family Taekwondo Programs champion the importance of physical fitness. Taekwondo taught and properly practiced, is a non-aggressive and ethical system of self-defense. Its participants enjoy physical and mental discipline, as well as excellent fitness and the ability to defend themselves if necessary.
Students who participate in regular physical activity and practice healthy eating choices as supported by a quality physical education program:
- Experience greater academic achievement;
- Develop more positive attitudes towards self and school;
- Have increased concentration, improved learning capabilities, enhanced memory and expanded problem-solving skills;
- Experience less aggressive behaviour;
- Are less susceptible to stress;
- Are healthier and happier;
These are our core beliefs as well. To enhance these benefits for everybody, CFTP would like to offer a free demonstration for staff and students to encourage further personal growth. A Safety for Kids presentation is available, empowering children to build a stronger, safer neighborhood for themselves and the community
Classes for all staff and students are available at lunchtime and evenings.
